Honesty is currently a Pre-K assistant at Together We Learn. She has worked at TWL for two years now. She worked in an office for 21 years and was excited to discover her passion for working with children. “I have always loved to care for children. I was a stay-at-home mom for a few years and love to help other children learn and grow.” Vivienne, Honesty’s daughter, attended TWL, and this is when Honesty found out that she has a special place in her heart for students that need that extra bit of attention.
What she likes about working at TWL: “Watching the students learn and grow and helping them get through their daily activities. Also, the staff is like family. We all support and help each other out.”
Honesty lives in Glen Carbon with her husband, Derek, and her three daughters, Madison, Jordyn, and Vivienne.
After attending college and working for her father’s engineering firm, Andrea decided to stay home with her children. She has stayed very involved with their schooling and education. She has been a PTO Vice President, room mom for many years, and a volunteer. She has been involved in the Ed/Glen Junior Service Club for nearly ten years, where she currently co-chairs the Juniors, helping the children of the club members become more involved in the community. Her biggest love in life is being a mom and working with kids. Two of her children have attended Together We Learn. That connection led her to join the TWL family.
What she likes the best about working at TWL: “I feel very lucky to work with such amazing staff! I love my coworkers and the students, and each day is always so much fun!”
Andrea resides in Edwardsville with her husband Shawn and her four children Colin, Jack, Hadley, and Arden.
Beth is an assistant teacher at TWL and has a degree in psychology. She has had years of experience working as a preschool teacher before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom with her four daughters. Having her own children helped her realize that working with and teaching young children was her passion. Beth and her family enjoy volunteering any extra time they have with a local pet rescue. In addition to volunteering at the shelter, they have fostered over 60 and counting stray dogs and puppies.
What she likes best about working at TWL: “It is my favorite age group of children, and they are so eager to learn. The atmosphere at TWL is so calm and inviting and feels like family.”
